Foreign Movies Filmed in the Czech Republic

For years, the Czech Republic was a hot destination for foreign movie production. As a result, new studios and soundstages were built and Czech crews and production companies gained considerable experience.  In recent years, the Czech Republic has lost out to other countries, such as Hungary, which provide significant tax incentives to foreign productions. In October 2009, the Czech government approved a 20% tax rebate for productions shooting in the Czech Republic. It went into effect in January 2010.

Over the years, film locations in the Czech Republic have been passed off as sites both historical and current. Sometimes Prague is even cast as Prague. :)
